History of the Hollywoodland Stairs

The Hollywoodland stairs were built in the 1920s when the Hollywoodland housing development was created. The stairs were built to help residents navigate the steep hillsides and provide shortcuts between the winding streets. Today, they offer urban hikers a unique way to explore this historic neighborhood while enjoying stunning views of Los Angeles.
